L’ouvrage de la Salmagne est un ouvrage fortifié de la ligne Maginot, situé sur la commune de Vieux-Reng, dans le département du Nord.
C’est un petit ouvrage d’infanterie (de quatrième classe) comptant deux blocs. Construit à partir de 1934, l’ouvrage a été abîmé par les combats de mai 1940.
L’ouvrage de la Salmagne se trouve au milieu du secteur fortifié de Maubeuge ; il forme avec l’ouvrage de Bersillies le centre de la ligne de résistance protégeant Maubeuge de part et d’autre de la Sambre. L’ouvrage est flanqué d’une part à l’ouest par l’ouvrage de Bersillies (lui-aussi équipé d’une tourelle), d’autre part au sud-est par la casemate d’intervalle de l’Épinette.
Bien qu’il soit en partie protégé par la tourelle de l’ouvrage voisin, aucun ouvrage d’artillerie ne le couvre de ses tirs.
