The gallery on level 7 bis Le Peychagnard

The gallery on level 8 is located just below the intersection of the black runway and the old railway track in the wooded area on level 7. Nowadays, the forest covers the gallery razzier. It emerges a little above the upper end of the meadow.
The gallery has not been subjected to any safety treatment because it was not visible, currently only a piece of rail emerges from the ground to locate its position.
If the position of the gallery is not easy to locate, it is not the same for the razzier. This one has a respectable dimension, currently it is not distinguished because it is completely covered by the drill. What does not allow to apprehend it in its totality. When one inspects the ground, no doubt is possible, we are of course on mining waste.
The question of access to this gallery has been raised for a long time because there is no visible trace of a path on the ground. The solution was provided to us by the combination of the cadastral plan and the aerial photos of 1950 on the Geoportail site on which we can clearly see paths that have now disappeared.
Was the path used to transport coal from the gallery to the village? This point poses a problem that we will examine :
The exploitation of this level is quite recent in the mining history of this area. The inclined coal transport planes on level 7 were already built.
The road leading to the gallery returns to the village of Peychagnard just below level 9, but from this point the road to Le Crey has a steep gradient and therefore the only possible means of transport would have been carts, but this goes against the means of transport put in place at level 7.
All this leads us to believe that the gallery was used mainly for waste rock disposal and ventilation.
