Aujourd’hui je vous propose de visiter la chapelle Notre Dame de Pitié.
Celle-ci se trouve sur la commune de St Prix.
Elle fut construite en 1554 par monsieur Chirel (prêtre) qui possédait une maison bourgeoise de même nom à St Prix.
Le chemin qui côtoie la chapelle était le seul qui existait à l’époque.
La montée était dure pour les animaux, les hommes pour stimuler les bêtes prononçaient le nom de Dieu.
Le prêtre fit donc construire la chapelle pour réparation des offenses.

Today I invite you to visit the Chapel of Our Lady of Mercy.
It is located in the municipality of St Prix.
It was built in 1554 by Mr. Chirel (priest) who owned a mansion of the same name in St Prix.
The path that runs alongside the chapel was the only one there at the time.
The climb was hard for animals, men to stimulate the beasts pronounced the name of God.
The priest therefore built the chapel for reparation for the offenses.

Voici ce qu’on peut découvrir en poussant la porte de la chapelle.
L’autel est dédié à Marie soutenant son fils après la descente de la croix d’ou le nom de Pitié, pitié pour les animaux et les hommes qui les mènent /
Here is what you can find in pushing the door of the chapel.
The altar is dedicated to Mary holding her son after the descent of the cross or the name of Mercy, Mercy for Animals and the men who lead them.

Regardant les vitraux le premier portent le signe du christ IHS / Looking at the stained glass windows are the first sign of Christ IHS.

Le second porte la marque de la Vierge Marie M / The second is the mark of the Virgin Mary M.

Le dernier porte le saint Esprit avec la colombe inspirant le monde / The latter carries the Holy Spirit with the dove inspiring the world.
